After Cyclone Gabrielle impacted many of those in Hawke’s Bay and the North Island, we called on our fellow friends to help raise funds for those that needed it.
For the month of March 2023, $1 from every pint of selected brews & non-alcoholic beverages sold at our 11 venues in Auckland and Wellington was donated straight to the New Zealand Red Cross Disaster Fund.
The Disaster Fund supported the response and recovery to Cyclone Gabrielle, providing essential supplies such as stretchers, blankets, bedding and hygiene kits, deploying satellite phones, generators and other equipment, providing crucial psychosocial support and practical help to those who had been forced to leave their homes. It will also be used to help New Zealand communities to prepare for, respond to and recover from future emergencies and disasters, whatever and whenever that may be.
We are extremely proud that, along with the help of our loyal patrons, we were able to donate $7,186.
In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
